I think what you typed made a bunch of sense. However, think about this, suppose you were to create a awesome headline? I ain't suggesting your content is not good, but what if you added a title that grabbed folk's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is kinda boring. You could look at Yahoo's home page and see how they create post titles to get viewers interested. You might add a related video or a related pic or two to get people excited about what you've written. Just my opinion, it would bring your website a little bit more interesting.
